Conceived by Schism Worldwide, an independent Ukrainian studio, World War Polygon adopts an original and immediately recognisable aesthetic approach: a low-poly art direction reminiscent of Superhot or Hotline Miami, transposed into the context of the liberation of Europe. The player takes on the role of an American soldier caught up in the turmoil of the landings, Bastogne, and the crossing of the Rhine. The approach combines a carefully crafted solo narrative with dynamic FPS action, across a series of short but cinematic linear missions. Sessions run around fifteen to twenty minutes per chapter, ideal for a structured experience on a smartphone. The stylised geometric aesthetic softens the depiction of violence while preserving the tension of combat — a pertinent scenic choice for the mobile format. A tongue-in-cheek zombie mode, separate from the historical campaign, extends the lifespan for fans of uncomplicated action. Available free on iOS and Android, the title adopts a balanced model that prioritises the campaign without a paywall. Schism Worldwide refined the touchscreen interface with adjustable aim assist and fully customisable controls. The English voice acting and presentation borrow their codes from major console productions, demonstrating the studio's narrative ambition. The orchestral soundtrack reinforces the epic sweep of the key chapters of the European campaign. Updates have enriched the content with new theatres — the Eastern Front, the Pacific — and more than forty different weapons. World War Polygon has built an international community drawn in by its tone and aesthetic. An excellent example of the creativity of the Ukrainian studio in independent mobile production.
