The player takes the role of either Imperial Japan or the Allies, simultaneously managing land offensives, naval-air operations, and logistics across the vast Pacific theater. The system combines historical event cards, strategic points, and battles resolved through the activation of operational groups. A full game requires ten to fifteen hours, though shorter scenarios allow specific phases to be tackled in four to five hours. The learning curve is demanding and richly rewards the investment made.
